Saab 9-3 Aero V6 on Autobahn

One owner of Saab 9-3 Aero (stock 250BHP) performed his V6 on German highway (Autobahn) “without limits”, to check what is the acceleration and determines the maximum speed.

Technically there is a advisory speed limit of 130 kph on the Autobahn, when there is no speed limit posted. If you chose to exceed it, you’re at your own risk.

Top speed was 223km/h and this is not the maximum of this V6, but the video is certainly interesting because it combines the information from OBD and good camera angle.

This is a car of exceptional possibilities, and it is a real pleasure to drive it.

  • Well, what to say? 200 km/h is my desired, normal cruising speed. And, as far as I know, accident rates or not higher on German motorways than elsewhere.

“on your own” sounds more dramatic than it actually is. Fact is, there is no speed limit. Except on more than 50% of the motorways :-(.
