Ward Schoonbrood - founder of the new Saab 900 club next to his favorite carWard Schoonbrood - founder of the new Saab 900 club next to his favorite car

Here is a nice news that will please the owners and admirers of the iconic Saab model Saab 900. As long as there are enthusiasts everywhere in the world who support this breed, until then Saab cars will also be moving on roads around the world. And only one of them is the Dutch gallerist Ward Schoonbrood, who recently established a fan club dedicated to the 900 model as well as a specialized website dedicated only to this Saab model www.houseofswedishcars.com.

The Saab 900 club

Just today, Ward shared with Saab fans something he has been working on as an enthusiast until recently. For his famous (known of course to Saab fans) Instagram account House of Swedish Cars, with which he shares his enthusiasm for Swedish cars (with a big role for his beloved Saab 900 turbo S), he created a new website to create more space for bigger stories about Swedish cars and their owners. With that website, he also started the Saab 900 club.

A Gallery of 900’s From Around the World

Ward’s intention with the Saab 900 Club is to create an overview and a kind of database of as many Saab 900s as possible. As he is a gallerist by vocation, it should be a virtual gallery of 900 models from around the world with some information about each individual one. for the car: variant, year, current km/miles, country, owner’s name (optional), car/owner’s Instagram account (optional), story (long or short) and of course some pictures.

Because we are all connected by Saab cars!

Of course, this website will still not be a competitor to the existing Saab 900 gathering places on social networks, but he sees this activity as an addition to the wonderful interactive Facebook groups for Saab 900. As we all know, Facebook groups (and especially those with many members) are perfect for solving problems with our Saab cars, for searching and finding spare parts, for sharing pictures, asking questions, sharing tips, then sharing news and articles and reacting to these posts.

The Saab 900 Club is a club for owners and enthusiasts of the Saab 900 automobile. It provides resources, events, and a community for people interested in the Saab 900. They may offer technical assistance, parts, and advice on restoring and maintaining these cars, as well as organizing events such as car shows, driving tours and social gatherings. Some of the club also offer online communities and forums for members to connect and share information.

But on Facebook it is difficult to get an overview of each member and his/her cars. With this Ward Club he wants to create a central overview of Saab 900s from around the world. As he says – to connect, admire, promote, inspire and enjoy. Because we are all connected by Saab cars!

The 900 Club

Ward launched the 900 Club last week and has already received a nice amount of great feedback and Club entries from the US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium and the Netherlands. With beautiful pictures and wonderful stories of both relatively new Saab drivers and Saab drivers who have had Saabs for many, many years and everything in between. This blog post is also a kind of support for his efforts, so all of you who have a Saab 900 around the world are invited to join this specialized club and share your passion with other enthusiasts.

In short, please do take a look at the first entries to the Club and of course, it would be great if you would like to join the Club as well! You can visit and join the club at www.houseofswedishcars.com! We wish Ward and all future members of the Saab 900 club successful cooperation and association, with the wish that we all manage to keep Saab cars alive.

For over 15 years, Goran Aničić has been passionately focused on Saab automobiles and everything related to them. His initial encounter with Saab cars took place back in 2003 when the first Saab 9-3 and sedan version were introduced. At that moment, he was captivated by the car's Scandinavian design logic and top-notch engineering, and everything that followed stemmed from that first encounter. Later on, through his work at the editorial team of the Serbian automotive magazines "Autostart" and later "AutoBild," he had the opportunity to engage more closely with Saab vehicles. In 2008, he tested the latest Saab cars of that time, such as the Saab 9-3 TTiD Aero and Saab 9-3 Turbo X. In 2010, as the sole blogger from the region, he participated in the Saab 9-5ng presentation in Trollhättan, Sweden. Alongside journalists from around the world, he got a firsthand experience of the pinnacle of technological offerings from Saab at that time. Currently, Goran owns two Saabs: a 2008 Saab 9-3 Vector Sportcombi with a manual transmission, and a Saab 9-3 Aero Griffin Sport Sedan from the last generation, which rolled off the production line in Trollhättan in December 2011.
