Up for sale is a fully restored 1971 Saab Sonett III

This car underwent a frame off restoration in 2013 with no expense or work spared. It runs and drives well and needs nothing. If you are in the market for a V4 Sonett, current owner Troy Hierlmeier challenge you to find a nicer one. Clean FL title in hand, and just 71000 miles on the clock.

Saab Sonett III

Chassis:
Tub sandblasted, trunk floor replaced, painted with POR-15
All suspension components powdercoated satin black
New shocks, bushings, ball joints, brake lines, fuel lines, etc.
Rebuilt brake components, new pads and shoes
Wheels powdercoated, new tires

Drivetrain:
All engine gaskets and seals replaced
Heads machined and valves lapped
Cylinders honed and new rings installed
Bottom end is original and was in good condition so it did not warrant a rebuild
Transmission rebuilt and freewheel locked out
New exhaust system

Body:
Painted with Ford RZ Red Candy Metallic Tricoat
Has developed some minor crazing in the fiberglass which is common to Sonetts, none of which is through the paint
A few very minor paint chips that have been touched up

Interior:
All new custom upholstery, new carpet throughout, all new weatherstripping

Modifications/upgrades:
Weber 34ICH carburetor
Alpine bluetooth head unit and speakers
Classic Auto Air underdash AC system with Sanden compressor (blows ice cold)
Ashcraft reverse gear lockout system
Autometer temperature gauge
Aluminum radiator
Electric radiator fan
Entire interior covered with Dynamat
