Saab 9-3 with e-AAM – electric AWD systems for next-gen vehicles

2010 Saab and American Axle Manufacturing announced they have formed a new joint venture called e-AAM Driveline Systems that will develop electric and hybrid driveline systems.

Then there was a first demonstration of the new AWD system. Now we have two new videos that show how this system works in practice  on Ice- side by side (On-Off Comparation):

This should be the future Saab AWD drive, but we’ll see what happens next…
