A little action from Hungaryan motorways – Saab 9-3 Maptun Stage 6+ Biopower versus a Porshe 997 Carrera!
This Porsche is a really fast car, with the possibility of rapid acceleration, but nothing to be shame for this Saab 9-3. According to the author of this video, When he was ahead of Porsche, could not just overtake him during acceleration. As you can see, tuners are really done a good job:
The story of the video is very similar to this story – Saab 900 Versus Porsche 911 on the Autobahn.
Another 400HP Saab Story – This Time from Hamburg
While this Maptun Stage 6 Saab 9-3 shows what the later platform can achieve against modern performance benchmarks, a newly surfaced Saab 9000 Aero build from Hamburg takes a different, more mechanical route to similar output.
Prepared by Garage 11 and based on a late-production 1998 Aero, this car combines a Maptun Stage 6 setup with custom H&R suspension and Porsche front brakes, creating a far more analog interpretation of the same performance philosophy. Unlike the 9-3’s more refined chassis, the 9000 relies on raw front-wheel-drive traction and a heavily reinforced setup to manage power levels approaching 400 hp.
The result is not a direct successor – but a parallel evolution of Saab tuning culture, built on a platform that predates XWD, electronic aids, and modern chassis calibration.
