McLaren supercar worth £250,000 almost destroyed in head-on crash with Saab 9-3 Convertible

A McLaren 650S Spider was left almost destroyed after crash in London with Saab 9-3 Convertible.

It is understood that the supercar, which was brand new and registered in Monaco, was turning right at traffic lights when the two vehicles collided on Saturday evening.

No injuries to drivers. The Saab appeared to be considerably less damaged than the supercar.

The supercar then spun around as a result of the impact, the wreckage showing a bonnet almost completely folded and the front of the car left crumpled and smashed.

  • I love SAABS and all, but to be fair, the McLaren’s passenger compartment, in part due to it’s carbon fibre tub, is not damaged at all and the driver and passenger where probably safer than if in many of the cars on the road.

    It was a travesty what GM did to SAAB, wich, after the financial crisis and being bailed out, I believe they destroyed SAAB permanently instead of selling them off to avoid having a more competent competitor around in the future.
