Belgian outlet Moniteur Automobile published a speculative "what if Saab revived the 900" feature for 2027, pairing an AI-generated render with an imagined XPeng partnership and a resurrected SVC engine. None of it is confirmed. But the render's proportions land closer to Jason Castriota's real unbuilt next-generation 9-3 than to the classic 900 whose name it borrows.

A YouTube video appears to document the complete restoration of a forgotten 1963 Saab 96 rally car. In reality, the car, workshop and restoration were generated by AI. Incorrect Saab components, a completely wrong engine and changing body details expose the illusion and a growing problem in automotive video.

SaabFest 2026 brought the SAAB Owners Club of Great Britain to Foxfield Railway for two days of cars spanning almost the entire marque history. A new Seized Gearbox walk-through captures everything from two-strokes and the lone Sonett to 99 Turbos, Carlssons, Viggens, 9000 Aeros, XWD cars and the NG 9-5.

A boxed orange Saab 96 in a Jærbladet report caught the attention of Norwegian Saab enthusiasts. The model belongs to the huge 1:18 collection of former Norwegian transport minister Ketil Solvik-Olsen, parts of which are now being sold through Olinda sin hobby in Bryne.

In 1986, Televerket Radio and Saab equipped a Saab 9000 Turbo taxi with an extraordinary collection of communications technology: a mobile phone, taxi radio, pager, television and VHS video system. Period Swedish magazine photographs show taxi owner Hans Nilsson demonstrating the equipment in Karlstad, while rear-seat passengers could even watch video tapes on longer journeys.

A black 1980 Saab 99 Turbo built in Arlöv, exported to Britain and later restored in Sweden is heading to Bilweb Auctions with an estimate approaching $30,000. Its chassis number can also be traced to a Saab Club discussion from 2014.

IntSaab returned to Sweden after ten years, but Bro Park revealed something larger: most early three-day registrations came from abroad, with German Saab owners forming the biggest national group.

Erik Wankerl’s yellow Saab 900 Turbo 2025 concept has resurfaced in print. Portuguese magazine autoDRIVE #91 uses the design study across a four-page column by João Santos Matos, sixteen months after the project first appeared online.

Saab Session Slovakia returns October 2–4, 2026 at Resort Gothal in Liptovská Osada. Registration is now open, but organizers have capped entries at 99 participant cars.

Hedin Parts has now confirmed the €475 including VAT cost of the French Saab Takata airbag operation and published ten service-center entries. For some owners, however, completing the repair means a 500–580 km round trip, adding another practical obstacle to a recall already complicated by Saab’s disappearance as a legal manufacturer.
